The Royal Golden Fish Park (Ranmasu Uyana), also known as the Royal Pleasure Gardens, covers an area of 14 hectares. They date from the reign of Dutugemunu. There is a very sophisticated hydraulic system, with beautiful elephants carved in stone, and a strange carved rock called "Stargate", which represents a map of the stars. The reservoir was fed by the Tessa Wewa River and drained to the rice fields of Isurumuni.
