These ruins along the ocean are those of the residence of the first British Governor of the island, Sir Frederick North, responsible for overseeing the fishing of pearls in the region between 1798 and 1805. Built in 1804 in the ancient Greek architectural style, we still detect in the very bad stones the arcades and windows that allowed a panoramic view of the ocean. The ground floor was composed of four small rooms, while the first floor hosted a large dining room and the governor's apartments.
