Since 2011, the Navy has been transporting tourists to the second sandbar, which forms part of Adam Bridge and is 15 km from the coast. The boats can accommodate up to 6 people. The crossing time is approximately 3 hours round trip, plus 30 minutes at the site. Service is provided every day, except in case of bad weather conditions. There are two possible departure sites depending on the season: Talaimannar Pier (November to April) or the beach located 2 km south of Talainmannar (May to October).
