This festival, which is also taking place throughout the country, is celebrated in Trincomalee, the Temple of Shiva, at the peak of Fort Frederick. The festivities are organized in honour of the marriage of Shiva and Parvati. They last three whole days during which there are countless coco: they contain the wishes of the inhabitants who can only be realised if they are released in a lucky crash. The show is impressive.
