Behind its white and turquoise blue facade dotted with stars, the Golden Star is hidden in the middle of coconut trees, close to the beach. This family hotel on the beach has 62 rooms, 37 of which have sea views. They are spacious and comfortable, but an effort on the decoration would be welcome. Designed as a resort, it has a pool, spa, restaurant and bar. On Sundays, the Sunday Buffet formula is very popular with Colombo residents who come to Negombo for the weekend or the day.
