THE mythical café in Buenos Aires. Founded in 1858 by Jean Touan, a French immigrant, it is the oldest café in the country. Time has stood still: explore the premises, the beautiful coffee room of course, the Alfonsina Storni room, designed to accommodate musicians on its small stage and the Eladia Blázquez room where billiards was once played, as well as the wooden literary lounge. Tango shows are regularly performed. The café is frequented by tourists from all walks of life, but is nevertheless a must in the Port's culture.

- A faire absolument

Très joli bar Art Déco. Décor laissé dans son jus. Service impeccable.

Historic café de Buenos Aires or L you can admire the paintings, photos and the key moments of the capital while tasting delicious coffee, hot chocolate and desserts. Despite the emergence of tourists the café retains its charm and authenticity. Pleasant staff that if you are interested has them, can be proud to tell you the life of the café and the neighbourhood.
