This 1952 café is a good place to have a coffee between visits, if the tourist atmosphere of the Tortoni frightens you. Catering as well. The café was once home to the monument to Argentine literature Julio Cortázar, who made it the setting for the plot of his first novel, Los Premios (The Winners), and in 2014 it will be renovated, giving this mythical café a facelift and installing a statue of author Cortázar at the table, smoking a cigar and having a cup of coffee.
