PALACIO DEL CONGRESO DE LA NACIÓN ARGENTINA
Imposing palace with a magnificent 80 m-high dome, offering a visual and symbolic connection with the Casa Rosada.
This is the seat of the legislative power, comprising the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. This imposing building, crowned by a magnificent 80-metre-high dome, was inaugurated in 1907, and offers a visual and symbolic connection with the Casa Rosada (executive power), located on the other side of Avenida de Mayo. Italian architect Vittorio Meano drew inspiration from Greek and Roman references to build this palace, which contains precious works of art by academic painters.
