In this park stands one of the famous symbols of the city of Buenos Aires, an astonishing metallic flower in the middle of a lake, called Floralis Genérica, designed from an alloy of aluminium and steel by the architect Eduardi Catalano and inaugurated in 2002. With its 23 m high, the flower and its six giant petals are illuminated and closed at night thanks to a hydraulic and photoelectric system that allows it, among other things, to "bloom" every morning at 8 am
