MUSEO DEL ANTIGUO RECINTO DEL CONGRESO NACIONAL
Headquarters of the National Congress with a library, the interior retains its atmosphere and furnishings of yesteryear.
Designed by the Argentinian architect Jonás Larguía, this Italian-style building was once the seat of the National Congress between 1884 and 1905. Today it is home to the Academy of History: with a library of almost one hundred thousand volumes, the interior is home to beautiful period furniture, manuscripts, newspaper collections, etc. Although the exterior has been renovated, the interior still retains the atmosphere and furniture of yesteryear.
