MUSEO MITRE
Museum housing the offices of the famous La Nación newspaper, with a superb collection of historical photographs and a library.
The future president of the Republic, Bartolomé Mitre, a powerful wartime general and governor of Buenos Aires province, lived here from 1860 to 1906. The following year, a museum was opened, and the building, which dates back to 1785, became the offices of the famous La Nación newspaper. Here you'll find a wealth of information on Argentine history, a superb collection of historical photographs and, above all, an impressive library (dating from 1883), one of the most important on Argentine history in particular.
