MUSEO DE ARTE ESPAÑOL ENRIQUE LARRETA
A museum of neo-colonial architecture evoking Iberian art in Argentina, housing a superb and atypical Andalusian garden.
The neo-colonial architecture of this establishment evokes Iberian art in Argentina (furniture, painting, ceramics). It looks like a palace straight out of the Spanish Renaissance. The superb and atypical 7,000 m² Andalusian garden evokes the marriage (of passion?) between Spain and the Moors. Also of note is the altarpiece in honor of Saint Anne, dating from 1503. The museum is housed in the former home of writer Enrique Larreta (1873-1961).
