JARDÍN JAPANES
Typical Japanese garden in a park, with hundreds of trees, a carp lake, a teahouse and a pavilion
This garden was born of the desire of the capital's Japanese community to build a typically Japanese place. In fact, the park is a tribute to the Japanese immigrant community, and a monument bearing the words "To the sweat of the Japanese immigrant" is there to remind every visitor. The result is deliciously kitsch. The garden is home to hundreds of trees, a lake stocked with carp, a restaurant and, last but not least, a pavilion where conferences, shows and exhibitions on Japanese culture are presented on a regular basis.
