PASEO DEL TANGO
Street in a quiet neighborhood, with statues of crooner Roberto Goyeneche, tanguera actress Tita Merello and Carlos Gardel.
This time, it's the unmissable tango that's being celebrated with a succession of sculptures of its greatest performers. The great bandoneonist Aníbal Troilo, born 110 years ago, opened the ball, before being joined by statues of crooner Roberto Goyeneche and tango actress Tita Merello. The statue of Carlos Gardel had already stood on the eponymous street since 2000. The municipality is thus putting this quiet district back at the heart of the tourist circuit. The large Abasto shopping mall, which dominates these streets, must be rubbing its hands!
