This great pilgrimage of 65 km, led by thousands of faithful, pays homage to the Virgin Mary in the city of Luján every May 8th.
Every year on May 8 marks the beginning of the pilgrimage of more than a million faithful who make a 65 km procession to the small village of Luján. The Virgin of Luján is the object of an important cult: Patron saint of Argentina, she has her own chapel in the Basilica. The Basilica welcomes 9 million visitors every year. In 2019, the Pope himself greeted the centenary of the pilgrimage of this religious icon.
