DÍA DE LA TRADICIÓN

The celebration par excellence of gaucho culture. Rodeos, parades and asados animate this day that has almost become a national holiday.
This celebration, which has become a national holiday, takes place in San Antonio de Areco on November 10, 110 km from Buenos Aires. For over 85 years, the inhabitants of this small village have been celebrating gaucho culture. Folk dances, horsemanship competitions, parades, barbecues, craft markets, games, dances and rodeos enliven the proceedings. The date of this celebration is no coincidence: it's the date on which Argentine author and poet José Hernández, a mythical figure for all gauchos, was born.
