PARQUE CRIOLLO Y MUSEO GAUCHESCO RICARDO GÜIRALDES
The site boasts a museum displaying objects from everyday life on the pampas and numerous rooms evoking the cowboys' past.
Reopened in 2015 after a phase of renovation, the site reproduces all the buildings of an estancia, including the famous pulpería (bar-grocery) where gauchos used to come to drink. The museum displays a variety of objects from everyday life in the Pampas, a way of life recounted by Ricardo Güiraldes, the famous gaucho writer featured in the museum. His novel Don Segundo Sombra, published in 1926, is one of the best-known in Argentine literature. Numerous rooms evoke the past of these cowboys.
