The museum houses one of the country's most important collections of contemporary Argentine art. The 10-storey building is recognizable by its eight coloured grain silos, formerly known as "Davis silos" and reclaimed by the municipality. The colors of the façade change regularly, thanks to national competitions. The current façade dates from 2024 and was designed by Florencia Inés Meucci and Manuel Cucurel, entitled "Paint's not Dead".
