PLAZA DE LA COOPERACIÓN
A lively square near Che's birthplace, with public soccer, tennis and basketball courts.
Two cuadras from the house where Che was born is the Plaza de la Cooperación, where there is a mural of Che created by the artist Antonio Carpani in 1997 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of the Argentine revolutionary. The place is not exceptional, but it is a place of life for the inhabitants, who pass by, meet, but above all play sports, since there are public soccer, tennis and basketball courts here. The square comes alive especially in the late afternoon, when people finish work.
