His real name is the Museum of Natural Sciences and History "Antonio Ruiz de Montoya". The latter was a 16th century Peruvian Jesuit priest who established many Catholic missions in the Paraguayan zone. He was a great defender of the Guarani people, whose language he mastered. The museum is divided into two parts. One focuses on the Jesuit missions, the other shows the natural heritage of the province (interesting zoo at the back).
