Basilica with 4 domes of fine azulejos and a silver altar, one of the country's most important places of worship
Although the first buildings are older, the present basilica was erected between 1857 and 1861. One of the most important places of worship in the country. On the four domes are fine azulejos with beautiful bluish tones. They were offered to the city by Justo José de Urquiza. Inside you will see the patron saint of Cordoba, the Virgen del Rosario y del Milagro. Note its silver altar, made in the "Alto Peru" (now Bolivia) in the 18th century.
