It is named after one of the most famous painters of Cordoba, who also painted the frescoes in the city's cathedral. The museum was originally only a fine arts museum, bringing together ancient classical works, but today it mixes contemporary art with pieces of Argentina's historical heritage. With more than 1,100 works, this museum is well worth a visit.
