LA CAÑADA
A shady, landscaped stream with an attractive stone bridge, flows north of the town into the Río Suquía
Córdoba is crossed by a river that flows north of the city into the Río Suquía. Its banks are laid out to welcome sportsmen and strollers. The most pleasant part, shaded and landscaped with a beautiful stone bridge, is the one called the Cañada. It is located in the west of the city, following Marcelo T. de Alvear Avenue between San Juan Boulevard and Colón Avenue. From the Plaza de la Intendencia, you can walk along the Cañada to the Paseo de los Artes. It looks like the Saint-Martin canal, with its cafés running alongside it.
