LES NUITS ÉTOILÉES D’AUVERGNE
Organized by the Auvergne Astronomy Collective (CARA) every two years (2013, 2015, 2017…), which brings together some 17 amateur astronomy associations and clubs from all over Auvergne, the NEA has quickly become a reference for all audiences, neophytes or alerts, school or individual groups. A discovery born from the proposed program that intelligently combines practical and theory with remarkable animations (for example, the renewal of the experience of Eratosthene to calculate the earth circumference), lectures on astronautics, or observations of day and night. On-site teams listen to the visitor and respond enthusiastically to the questions asked. Organized out of season (late September or early October), the NEA allows holidaymakers in the "country of volcanoes" to accommodate their nature in the best way.
