SANT'ANNA CHURCH
This church, sober on the outside, features frescoes by the painter Nicolaï Greschny and contemporary stained glass by Yoki.
Don't be fooled by the sober appearance of this church, built in the mid-19th century. Push open the door and you're in Byzantium! Inside, 900 m² of frescoes cover the entire vaulted ceiling. They are signed by the painter Nicolaï Greschny. The artist, who created his greatest work here in 1956, combines the great episodes of the Old and New Testaments with the people of Châtel-Guyon. The stained glass windows are the work of Yoki de Fribourg, and are made of 15-mm thick Baccarat crystal set in cement. Well worth a visit!
