Basilica with 3 naves, including a central nave and 2 side aisles, and a small semicircular chapel behind the main altar
Inaugurated in 1893, the basilica has three naves, a central one and two lateral ones, in which there are chapels dedicated to different saints. It houses, among others, Our Lady of Carmen de Cuyo, proclaimed Patroness of the Andean Army by General San Martín on 5 January 1817. Behind the main altar, a small semicircular chapel preserves souvenirs, relics, plaques and tributes from all over the nation and abroad.
