The train passes through Rosario, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero. It leaves Buenos Aires at 1:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays from Retiro station. Arrival in Tucumán on Tuesday and Friday at 8:45 pm. A real journey! From Tucumán, departures on Wednesday and Saturday at 1 pm (arrivals in Buenos Aires on Thursday and Sunday at 8:10 pm). A good plan for budget travellers. Approximately US$12 for the standard ticket, US$15 in the higher class. For the cabin (with beds) for two people, it will cost you 44 US$. The journey takes about 25 hours, compared to 16 hours by bus
