MUSEO JESUÍTICO LA BANDA
A building converted into a museum featuring a collection of objects testifying to the daily life of the valley's pre-Columbian populations
The construction was carried out in several stages and was extended by the Frías Silva family, who owned the place during the 19th century. The construction is made of adobe (cob). Remember the term, it's typical of construction in the entire northwest region. The building was restored in the 1970s and since then its museum has housed a collection of objects that bear witness to the daily life of the pre-Columbian populations of the valley. You will see furniture from the Jesuit period as well. The place was turned into a museum in 1973.
