Small church rebuilt in Cachi, evoking an image of the Far West and offering an opportunity to celebrate all the sacraments
This small church was once a private place of worship, belonging to the family of Don Felipe Aramburo. The descendants donated their land and the church to the village. Its foundation dates back to the end of the 17th century, but since then it has been rebuilt, evoking an image of the Wild West. The roof is made of cactus wood and the construction of adobe. As in the whole region, a priest comes once a year for the patron saint's day of San José. It is an opportunity to celebrate all the sacraments at the same time and see the cacti burning in a great bonfire.
