QUEBRADA DE LAS FLECHAS
A site of rocky outcrops rising to the sky, with a mineral landscape of varied and fascinating colors
The Quebrada de las Flechas runs along the Río Calchaqui from Cafayate, about 60 km north on the Ruta National 40, to the village of Angastaco. It is made up of rocks that rise straight up to the sky (hence the association with the arrows), sculpted and sharpened by wind erosion. A mineral landscape with varied and fascinating colours, especially in the late afternoon when the sun becomes low. The easiest way to enjoy the show, and to be able to stop whenever you want, is to come by car, or by delivery.
