A very photogenic church with a beautifully decorated interior, a 53-metre high bell tower and a high tower
The church, photogenic thanks to its red and ochre colors, is featured on all the city's tourist brochures. Built at the end of the 18thcentury , on the site of a sanctuary destroyed by fire, it underwent its final transformation in 1870, when architect Luis Giorgi erected the tower that accompanies the building today. Its bell tower reaches a height of 54 m, making San Francisco Church the tallest tower in Latin America. Depending on your taste, the interior is either magnificently decorated or too busy!
