Pleasant square in the heart of the city, perfect for resting after a long day of sightseeing and home to street performances

The square is, of course, the heart of the town and your starting point for a visit. It's a large square, shaded by a variety of trees, giving it an exotic feel.

A walk around the square will take you to the Cathedral, the Cabildo, the Museo Histórico del Nord and the Teatro Provincial. It's also the only square in Argentina to be completely surrounded by a gallery. At its center stands the statue of the soldier Juan Antonio de Arenales. A very pleasant place to rest after a long day's sightseeing.

La place centrale du cœur de ville, l'occasion de participer aux festivités locales et d'échanger quelques mots avec les habitants. Belles façades éclairées, ambiance festive

Le coeur de Salta. Une place similaire à celles d'Amerique du sud. On y retrouve la cathédrale et de nombreuses animations comme des spectacles de dance de rue.

Place très agréable où une grande partie de la population se réunit. Très agréable en fin de journée où nous avons pu échanger avec beaucoup de locaux.

L'ambiance est sympathique le soir, les locaux viennent s'y promener. Les rues alentours se remplissent de vendeurs de toutes sortes de babiloes, vetements, chaussures...etc, quelques bars autour et snacks...
