Handicraft market in Purmamarca's main square, offering a wide selection of weavings and objects at reasonable prices

Every day, in the main square. The handicraft market is one of the most attractive and colorful in the Quebrada: a large selection of weavings and objects at very reasonable prices. It is organized between the stalls in the square and an interior patio where you will also find public toilets for a fee (good to know). Here you will have the choice for souvenirs to bring back from your trip: alpaca sweaters, woven socks, or aguayos, these very colorful Andean weavings (if you go to Bolivia, better buy them there).

joli marché coloré

Le marché de Purmamarca est typique des villes andines et fait penser au marché de Pisac au Pérou. Il est possible de trouver de nombreux tissus colorés et des objets typiques de la région (jeu d'échec avec personnage andin en guide de pièce). Il faut aussi goûter aux fameuses "tortillas" avec quelques vendeurs ambulants sur la place non loin du marché.
