Humahuaca is the most important town in the Quebrada. All buses from Salta and Jujuy to La Quiaca stop there.
To Salta , two comfortable companies: Balut and Andesmar.
To Jujuy, very frequent buses. Prefer the companies that do not make stops (El Quiaqueño and Balut) for a journey of 2 hours maximum.
For La Quiaca, many buses and 2 to 3 hours of driving. The border with Bolivia closes at night. It is better to arrive during the day to cross the border and not to have to stay overnight.
For Iruya, three to four departures per day and 3 hours of driving.
