EL CABILDO
Building with typical colonial architecture, well preserved with a huge public clock weighing around 1,800 kg, housing a lovely museum
One of the great attractions of the village, more than the building itself, is the enormous public clock (about 1,800 kg), proud of its German mechanism, the clock shows its cuckoo clock, set at noon. Every day, at precisely noon, an automaton representing San Francisco Solano appears to bless villagers and tourists. But the building of the cabildo is also nice to see, well preserved, with a typical colonial architecture. The building is not very big, a few arcades and several small balconies, whitewashed. It houses a nice museum.
