ANTIGUA CASA DE GOBIERNO
Museum in the former governor's residence, displaying photographs taken by explorers and ethnologists in the late c.
This museum is an extension of the Museo del Fin del Mundo. It is housed in the former Governor's Residence and Government House, built between 1890 and 1893. The first room features the beautiful bow and some elements of the Duchess of Albany, an English shipwrecked in the waters of the bay in 1893. Also on display are a number of photographs taken by explorers and ethnologists at the end of the 19th century, showing aspects of the daily life of the native peoples, including their impressive ceremonial paintings.
