Museum in the former governor's residence, displaying photographs taken by explorers and ethnologists in the late c.
This museum is an extension of the Museo del Fin del Mundo. It is located in the former governor's residence and government house, built between 1890 and 1893. The first room contains the beautiful prow and some elements of the Duchess of Albany, an English ship that was wrecked in the waters of the bay in 1893. Also on display are some photographs taken by late 19th century explorers and ethnologists, which show us some aspects of the daily life of Aboriginal peoples, including their impressive ceremonial paintings.
