MONTE FORESTAL ZEBALLOS

A route in the middle of the forest, perfect for discovering the impressive rock formations that resemble Italian ice
This road is the highest in altitude in the Provincia de Santa Cruz (1,500 m). Several waterfalls punctuate the route through the forest. You enter a grandiose western landscape, between valleys and mountains, where estancias dot the roadside. After the lengas and ñires, you reach a more desert-like zone, where impressive rock formations resemble Italian ice: the locals call them cucuruchos (conical hats). Finally, we admire the knife-edge silhouette of Mount Zeballos.
