PARQUE NACIONAL LAGO PUELO
Lago Puelo National Park is a true Patagonian wonder. Located in the Comarca Andina del Paralelo 42° region, close to the Chilean border, it offers breathtaking scenery. With its snow-capped mountains, turquoise-blue lake and varied vegetation, which forms a transition between the Patagonian Andes forest and the Valdivian forest, the park is a true paradise for the senses. Created in 1971, it was formerly an annex of Los Alerces National Park. Lago Puelo National Park also has an interesting history, bearing witness to Argentina's hippie movement in years gone by. The hippies advocated the connection between people and nature, and the park was a prime location for this due to its proximity to the town of El Bolsón. Note, however, that for the time being, entry to the park is free, but it's advisable to check with the park before your visit.
