Housed in the former reception hall of the Hôtel du Département, the Maison de l'Unesco has just been inaugurated. This 140m2 educational space is designed to welcome the general public to learn more about the Chaîne des Puys-Faille de Limagne natural site, and to highlight its inclusion on the Unesco World Heritage list. In Clermont-Ferrand, locals and visitors alike will find information areas, a dynamic film shown simultaneously on 14 screens, an augmented reality map, an animated wall, a store and a skyline visible from the forecourt. It's a place that complements the tourist offices, and one that you shouldn't miss if you want to get a better understanding of the region's special features and riches.
