L’OPÉRA-THEÂTRE

Designed by Jean Teillard at the end of the 19thcentury , this handsome Italian-style theater can accommodate 600 spectators, with the red and gold auditorium spread over three levels of balconies. It offers performances by the Centre lyrique, the Orchestre d'Auvergne, the Orchestre d'Harmonie, the Comité des Fêtes... The Orchestre d'Auvergne has taken up residence on the upper floors... Programming ranges from the great classics to the new: operas and ballets, concerts, plays and shows. The Opéra-Théâtre also hosts events for young audiences and themed balls.
