Founded in 1991 by Roland Duchastelle and Joseph Lamaze, among others, the association strives to "encourage its members to discover the arts" and to "contribute to the enrichment and influence of Clermont-Ferrand museums". To this end, it has set up several workshops, particularly painting and calligraphy workshops for children and adults, organizes cultural outings, and supports museums by promoting exhibitions, helping to finance materials, and even acquiring works in order to make them available to them.
