Built on the initiative of Marcel Michelin, the stadium is owned by the yellow-and-blue rugby club ASM. It is one of the largest in the Top 14 and can accommodate up to 19,000 spectators. It is also renowned for its unique atmosphere, guaranteed by Ultras Vulcans, Bouclier Arverne, Pack Montferrandais and Les Vignerons. Between 2004 and 2014, the stadium never saw ASM lose: the team broke the invincibility record, winning 77 times in all competitions. In 2015, the Phliponeau grandstand is built and the Centre d'entraînement et de perfectionnement opens. Since 2016, an interactive museum called ASM Expérience occupies 600m2, bringing the club's history to life.
