THE MICHELIN ADVENTURE
A chance to travel through the past of the industrialist from Auvergne, whose scenographic journey highlights the senses.
Michelin and the Puy-de-Dôme region have a long history. Without the French company born in 1889, the city of Clermont-Ferrand would probably not look the same. But what made the company so successful? Do you finally know the history of the tire giant? With the Michelin Adventure, you will have the opportunity to travel through the past of the Auvergne-based industrialist: from the famous Micheline of the 1930s to the innovations of tomorrow. The scenographic tour covers more than 2,000 square meters and will bring your senses to the forefront. You will be able to overhear a conversation of the Michelin brothers during the industrial revolution or smell the rubber to understand this material which made the fame of all the family. The visit cannot end without a photo with the Michelin Man himself. An adventure that will appeal to young and old alike. Take part in the Cloud Catcher, an entirely digital exploration! Rubber trees are in trouble because of climate change. Laura discovers plans for a project that could be the solution. Will you manage to build the prototype? In the summer, let yourself be transported by the magic of the Michelin Adventure night shows. In an atmosphere conducive to discovery, the heroes of the Michelin saga will themselves come and tell you the secrets of this family-owned factory that is more than 100 years old! Round off your visit with a tour of the Michelin Greenhouse, where you can learn about the rubber tree.
