At 13 km from the city, it is one of the oldest ski resorts in the country. With its twenty-eight slopes over an area of 1,600 hectares, this resort proves to be a very pleasant alternative to the fury of Bariloche (especially at the height of the season, during the second half of July). There is no lack of infrastructure, moreover the Chapelco Ski Resort received the award for the best Ski Resort in 2018. It is easily reached in 20 minutes from San Martin de los Andes thanks to the frequent buses and transfers in high season
