This airport - located 25 kilometres north of Bangkok - was one of the busiest in Southeast Asia, like Singapore or Hong Kong, before Suvarnabhumi took over. It was heavily affected by the floods of 2011 and did not reopen until March 2012. It currently serves the domestic flights of Nok Air, Orient Thai and Air Asia, among others. Also some flights to Siem Reap (Cambodia).

Le plus ancien des aéroports de Bangkok. Pour aller au centre de Bangkok, le plus rapide (moins de 1 heure) est d'utiliser la ligne rouge SRT jusque Bang Sue. Ensuite prendre le ligne bleue MRT qui dessert le centre ville.

Quelle galére cet aéroport... très mal indiqué pour y accéder, les terminaux très espacés donc faut pas louper le sien sinon vous êtes repartis pour 20 min à tourner. La depose des voitures de loc est aussi très compliqué car il n'y a pas de parking !!!

Aéroport ancien et assez peu entretenu. Certains vols internationaux (vers d'autres pays d'Asie du Sud Est) décollent également de cet aéroport.
Possibilité de rallier l'aéroport en bus ou en train (nombreux départ depuis Bangkok) mais trajet assez long (prévoir du retard même avec le train).
Wifi gratuit pendant 2h. Fonctionne parfaitement!
