Historic restaurant offering hearty Indian food and excellent naan on the edge of Chinatown in Bangkok.
This small restaurant at the end of a dark alley offers a very simple but copious cuisine from North India and therefore its room is often full. Opened in the mid-1970s, it is the first Indian restaurant in Thailand! On the menu, vegetarian or non-vegetarian thalis (complete meal), chicken tikka masala... to accompany excellent naan. That said, it seems to be losing ground, and the rewards gleaned are far from being realized... There are two other addresses, one in Siam Paragon and one in Emporium Food Hall in Sukhumvit.
