WAT RATCHAPRADIT SATHITMAHASIMARAM
A temple conducive to meditation and calm, with a structure reminiscent of the architecture of the Angkor temples.
Adjacent to the royal gardens, Wat Ratchapradit is a tiny temple that doesn't rival its direct neighbors, but is still very pleasant and inviting to meditation thanks to the calm that reigns here. Built by Rama IV in 1864, its structure is reminiscent of some of the architectural features found in Cambodia's Angkor temples, with a notable Khmer influence. The temple is made of grey marble, and features a large Sri Lankan-style stupa, the pasana chedi.
