MAHA RAT ROAD
A street surrounded by markets in Bangkok, starting at Silpakorn Fine Arts University and ending at Wat Mahatat.
This street starts with the university of Fine arts of Silpakorn, which occupies the buildings of an old palate, and ends with Wat Mahatat, which does not have a particular interest but one can visit it freely. There is a small daily market of medicinal plants and a more important market on Sunday. Opposite, in the alleys leading to the river, there is a market of amulets and phalluses of all sizes for sterile men and women! This market continues on the pavement in front of Thammasat University which was the scene of riots in 1976.
