ROYAL ELEPHANT KRAAL
A visit to a park featuring a vast wooden enclosure used to train wild elephants.
A visit to this park now dedicated to tourism but which was previously intended to train elephants in the army. The kraal is a vast wooden enclosure, the place where wild elephants are trained. Nowadays, these huge piles are still planted in the ground of the arena: quite impressive. The king himself owned several elephants as war mounts and was personally interested in training animals. Nowadays we can see in particular the large pond where elephants take their bath after their daily activity in the city
