Next to Wat Ratchaburana, this restored temple is equally worthy of interest. A very important spiritual centre, its creation dates back to Boromaraja I (1370-1388). There was once a royal monastery. In 1956, many gold cult objects were discovered in its foundations. There are still some prang and chedi, including one with a statue of Buddha leaning against it, and many amputated Buddha statues, walls and some columns. The great curiosity of the place is a Buddha's head embedded in the roots of a banyan tree.

C'est un des temples les plus intéressants d'Ayuthaya. Beaucoup de statues sans la tête et de stepanovic en ruines. Le clou du parc est une tête de Bouddha entrelacée dans les racines d'un arbre.

Le temple à visiter à Ayutthaya pour voir la fameuse tête de Bouddha dans les racines d'un arbre, vraiment très surprenant. Les ruines sont belles à visiter.

C'est un des temples les plus impressionnants d'Ayutthaya. Les ruines sont suffisamment grande pour qu'on puisse prendre le temps de se balader tout autour. Et bien que ce soit des ruines, ça n'en demeure pas moins très intéressants. Le grand arbre avec la tête de Bouddha dans les racines pourrait très bien vous inspirer !

It is a pleasure to strolling between the chedis, the ruins of buildings of the former capital. One of the most visited attractions country, a unesco world Heritage Site. Pleasant to have a first idea of the olden days in Thailand

On y découvre de nombreux bâtiments parmi les quels on trouve de nombreux Chedis en forme de bols renversés. Beaucoup sont encore debout. Face à l’entrée, se dressent les ruines d’un grand sanctuaire. Le centre est occupé par un cloître en ruines tandis qu'à d'autres endroits, on voit des constructions moins hautes dont il ne reste que les assises.
